I had the same result and once connected to 38 volts or more but not above 50v it calmed down the output effect to what I expected to see.

Ok i have a bunch of wall wart 12 volt different amp chargers a car battery and i also have 6 18650 batteries i wanted to use a 4s at 16 volts then a dc to dc converter to turn it down but i dont have the 4s bms board yet or the converter can i use a car battery or will it not limit the amperage if not ill order the 4s bms board now and the converter
