Sean, I don't know if you plan to use both channels... but if only need one output, you can add ch1 to ch2(result 25 bits) and achieve 3db improvement in SNR (you can always right shift to get back to your 24 bits if desired). This method is built in to newer generation Burr-Brown audio ADC's.

    • I made a concentric 8 inch coil and im just using the outside coil on tx to get pi working with no capacitor and the resistor jig but my output signal looks backward before a coil is connected wrong when connected and stage 1 tp3 looks really off no where near tp5 does

looking online i found a 4016 is analog only, and 4066 is bilateral, analog and digital
but im new also, thats why im here trying to learn about what numbers and letters mean so i dont order wrong parts

            • Its says its a bilateral switch but its the wrong number and not what i ordered i started looking over my board with a magnifying glass after someone above mentioned checking parts before you install them and found it and the one thing i know with this already is you need all the right chips glad i installed all sockets

that was me that suggested checking parts, after surfdetector told me i should check all parts and numbers before even starting assembly and
then put the parts as to what they are designed to go in a envelope so we build these in steps, per say #1 is power, #2 is transmit, ect, and then test each step.

                • From what I've read on google most of the letters are company initials i think it said that come after the number and that TC is before it and i know the number is suppose to be correct and thats not so thats why im making sure before i order it

                  • Yeah i checked the numbers on the package i didn't bust out a magnifying glass and look at the chip but from now on i sure will what a head ache thanks

Thats whats keeping me from ordering parts, dont know what i am looking at if its not the correct number,i have already asked a few times already on a couple parts, from another build
I ordered a kit from silverdog for the mpp beach which i have to build so it will be my first build before i even tackle this.
I bought a pre made board from a member here for a surf pro and cant get it to work and there is no build file so i dont know what to check for test points, learned that already.

                      • Well im no pro by any means but once i learn it i don't mind answering questions

                        • Once i get mine working ill tell you what numbers i used i learned the hard way about getting 1/4 watt resistors instead of high wattage lol

                          • I already asked about 1/4 watt and such about resisters a long time ago here when i first started here,
i thought the higher wattage would be better and handle more current because im a electrician, bigger is better but not here

                              • I googled it and it said it works its just like adding a fuse but didn't realize it also means the resistor gets a lot bigger
