Does anyone know the wiring colour codes on the Whites Beachcomber 4 coil? I would like to use it as a base for my own experimentation, but it does not have a connector. The body of this detector looks impossible to take apart without breaking it as it appears glued all the way around!
Coil Wires are :
paired red/black
paired white/green
shield
Measuring
red/black 1.3R
white/green something large! in hundreds of k
black appears to be connected to white, and measuring between white and shield is 6R
Its a 2D coil, says it on the bottom.
Could assume lowest resistance is TX red/black, and that the 6R white/shield is RX, but I seem to be stretching things a bit.
Grateful is anyone knows for sure? Otherwise its probably better for me to buy one and start with a known coil!
