How do you weave a coil like this ?

Anybody know how you weave a coil like this ?
I am guessing its made with more than one single wire ?, maybe 5 single wires and they are soldered together ?

It is a Litz braid of 4 wires, and a very same weaving technique is explained here: http://www.chimeralabs.com/diy_braid.html

Wouldn't that end up about the same as the Basket type coil?

In case of a single untapped coil it would, but if you are into a bifilar, quadrifilar, or a centre-tapped coil it is a very different story.
