Inductance is about 300uH. We use 24awg stranded with teflon insulation.

Can you provide a little more information about the stranded AWG 24 wire to aid in making a fast coil for the TDI?

Is it 7 strands of AWG32?

Is it tin plated wire vice silver plated wire to minimize eddy currents being generated in the coil wire?

What is the OD of the wire to help indicate the insulation wall thickness?

More importantly, how do you make the solder joint to connect the coil wires to the coax so that the joint does not look like a small target?

Can you provide the self resonant frequency of the coil alone with shield attached and the coil plus coax?

If any of these answers are trade secrets, just ignore them.

Yes

I would assume tin-plated. I doubt you would be able to tell a difference, everything else equal.

We just solder it. The solder joint is irrelevant, as long as it's nailed down.

I've measured the the whole thing in the past, but don't have the number handy.
