I have teknetics t2 where coil was damaged (noisy when touch by hand and wet grass). i need information how to repair or build new one. 10q

I don't own a T2, sorry. Maybe someone on the forum can post a coil pinout. You can then check the different coil resistances and resistance against shielding. Don't think the shell can be opened, it will probable be filled with epoxy resin.
I would suspect either a break in the connector or at the coil housing where the cable enters.

One of the biggest problems with the T2 was the coil connection,i am lucky that mine is still working as it should do but i always carry the little 5inch and also 2 Large SEF coils just incase, but as i have the Crossbow Pulse these days the T2 is not being used very much.I dont think it would be wise to open it up as i dont really think its worth it but the connector was certainly the weakest link.

If the coil still works in air, then your main coil connections are good, and it is a screen problem. Pin 1 is the receive-coil ground/shield, and pin 5 is the Transmit-coil ground. I think that pin 1 is most likely joined to the internal shields. I don't think it is possible to open the search-coil without destroying it, the area I would examine first is under the plastic cover at the rear of the coil. Inside is the balance coil, and a PCB that joins the internal wires together.

Your measurements are correct for the coil windings. The internal shield will likely be graphite-coated paper or graphite paint applied to the plastic. Any connection to a wire will be mechanical, not soldered. This is the probable failure point in your coil, the mechanical connection.

I know what I am going to suggest will zap any warranty you may have on the machine but if putting pressure on a part of the connector solved the problem, at least temporarily, then I think if you can find a replacement connector I would replace it. Making sure the connections are well soldered and insulated from each other should solve the problem for good.

I got a F75 Stock coil new, it should Be the same ! Pin1-2 38,7 ohm and pin 3-4 2,7 ohm. Pin 5 sheild. non to measured between pin 5 and any other pin. If you got connecting between pin 5 and pin 3 or 4, something must had gone wrong inside the coil, If you are sure the plug is Good. Hope this will help you.
