mystrey coil

i have been trying to figure out what type of coil i have it has two small coils in the center and two coils around the edge eight wires in total i was going to use the wire to build a coil for surf pi kit iam confused now has any one any ideas the coil came of a national geographic cheap thing going to use the coil plastic to make the pi coil in can i use the coil thats there all ready or coils as there seem to be 4 coils in one housing

well it took so long for a reply i gutted it its now an empty shell to build a mono coil in for the surf pi project it was two small coils in the middle one on top of the other and two larger coils on the outer edge the same one on top of the other dont here of co planner coils much are the any good ?

Should have been coplanar like I said im just a begginer I do know the machine you mean and I think youve found the best use for it I would like to see your progress with the pi machine goodluck

i was planing to post some pics when i start mid way and the end result we will see what happens going to find a bigger coil casing tomorrow at a local metal detector shop hopefully so i will make two coils still thinking about the housing !!!!
