Garrett Crossfire Deep Seeker Coil With Bump Beeps

Recently bought a Garrett metal detector master hunter cx plus, with one coil crosssfire deep seeker 12 ", at a very low price. But I think it has problems, whenever something strikes the coil emits a beep, even when I hit it with my hand slightly. Is this normal? Or coil may have internal damage? Could you help me with your comments?. Thanks in Advance.

May be normal if you have the sensitivity turned up and tap on the coil pretty hard. Otherwise, the nulling winding may have come loose. If that's the case, the detector probably won't ground balance and if you have target ID that would be off as well. Can be
fixed if you are very careful. Somewhere in "Coils" you will find a picture where I opened a garrett elliptical coil.
