  • Whites V3i coil signal.

    Hi!

I`m looking for shape of driving signal in Whites coil.
I`ve seen some other Multi-frequency signals (if you have any - please post it too) but this time I`m specially interested in V3i signal.

Also I would like to know what technique of receiving MF signal is used.
Just one resonant circuit with extended bandwitch, or more complex thing ?
    Thanks!

I dont think we can talk too detailed on here as it is a relatively modern kit and may still be in production..

My guess is the 3 tones are generated in dsp and all feed a driver amp to coil

The Rx splits anything received into 3 separately tuned Rx.

I suspect the Tx and Rx coils are resonant at the lowest freq and the mid and Hi tones are odd harmonics of the lowest Tx freq so they resonate too.

The TX drive is a multi-period digital waveform. I think it was published in a short paper I wrote when the unit was introduced.

On the RX side, the preamp is broadband and then the signal is split into 3 narrowband demod channels, much like any normal multiband radio.
