  • Strange but interesting PI coil deseign

The other day I spent a few hours looking around this site
using google translator, the site has a few interesting things on it
including this strange but interesting PI or vlf coil design
    has anybody tried it ?
Supposedly it is a low capacitance coil.

With proper outer to inner radius ratio, this setup can exhibit anti RFI behaviour. Note that the inner NI product is twice the outer. The same result could be achieved with less fuss though.

Why such a complex system? Dangle just CX with TX and PX is connected in series. There is no difference. For the PI System strange ...There are no miracles in these sensors.

I tend to agree, but someone obviously thought it was worth patenting.

Patent can be everything! Even the way to tie shoe laces.

...and a patent can be someone's way into academia, or else. Any patent could do. Hence many odd patents.

What I mean is that a patent can be someone's meal ticket even if it is never used to defend the idea expressed in a patent. As such it is useful even past it's expiration date.
