  • About IDX coils

    hi all guru
    i finish the board but i am not sure aboat the connection to the board.

    Hello Mohandes . I got your e-mail . You are at the fun part !!! 1st: It is always good to put some kind of connector on the circuit board where the coil wires are soldered . If you solder and desolder wires too many times , the pc board can get messed up .

    In answer to your question , there is a DD searchcoil photo somewhere on this forum that shows the correct beginning and end in respect to the polarity or current flow [direction]. I will look for the DD photo and if I find it I will post it here .

        i think my DD coils are ok just please check above.

          My coil is DD also. Mark each start (I tied a knot) and wind the same way round. Connect TX/RX start and finish as in post 1348 link above. Follow the colors in both photos shows where each goes. Worked fine for me.

              Hi Mohandes,

              pay attention to the coil shieldings (RX and TX). The RX and TX shieldings may not touch together as they would create a large target (conducting loop at the outline of TX and RX coil). Isolate the RX and TX shielding at the crossing (touching) region.
