  • Coil calculator modification

    Just a thought guys, it could be nice to have resistance calculation included into calculator. Something like we can calculate here:

    Based on that, I know what wire gauge I'm going to use without too much time and money waste for experimenting. Any chance for such update?

    There are a number of possible updates I have in mind for the coil calculator, but the problem is lack of time to do it.
    I'll put that on the enhancement list.

      My first suggestion is to put resistivities for other kinds of copper that is more common than the pure Cu. Say annealed copper at 1.7241x10E-8 Ωm

        Another idea. We want to build a coil with known inductance, resistance and coil size. Just put those details into calculator which will show what wire size we should use and how many turns. But this may be a bit complicated as probably it's possible to achieve same or very similar results for different wire sizes and number of turns.
