Cheers 6666. It does seem unbelievable, I had to travel from the UK all the way to Australia to get my pics files uploaded to the thread Did you use the "Insert Image" upload at the top of this page or the "Manage Attachments" File Uploader Manager? I get no sense out of any of the two but on the "File UploaderManager ", on the Home page there are four large pics. icons with an ? on them. These are pics. uploaded a long time ago, so it proves the system worked ok before but not now. Can these icons be deleted? May be that is the reason for the failure? I can drag those files down to the bottom of the page (to Attachments) and surely will upload to the thread page after clicking "Insert Line" but these have nothing to do with the matter in hand. Anyway, just to clarify the situation with the TX coil needed, this is what is noted on what is left on the coil casing:
Thediameter of this coil should be 5 and ¾”, according to the dimensions of thegroove in the polystyrene bed where the windings laid . (The receive coil is 2and ¾” it appears to be a 32 wire gauge and has 3 parallel capacitors to linkit with the TX coil. The middle tappings that go to the red and black wires hasa 0.1uf cap across too ). The leads from left to right is first coil end to thecable screen (and supposedly to first coil end of TX?) second and thirdwindings go to leads Black and White (with cap across them) and coil end is aloose 15” length end which will also connect to the TX coil.
Thereceive coil is intact and the readings across the two open ends is 3.9 ohm and 35 ohms across the inner windings. Isthere anyone who knows what the length of the transmit coil should be for thisparticular model? Or what can I input to get the measurements with the CoilCalculator?? Many thanks to all taking the time to listen to my plight.

You might have a firewall problem. Try rebooting your router.
If that doesn't work, then go round to a neighbour and try there. At least that might help to track down the cause.

Also might need a cookie flush, not entirely sure how the upload manager works. However, I strongly suspect the problem is on your end.

Thanks 6666. You have been very helpful. I still cannot upload anything no matter what, so I am going round to a friend's house and will try from his computer and see what happens. DOES ANYONE PLEASE HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT COIL LENGTH DO I NEED FOR THIS DETECTOR?
