Good day; I am new to the pulse induction field, and not much up on electronics, but recently purchased a Detech ssp 2100 for multiple uses including prospecting. I would appreciate any assistance in constructing a 2m x 2m coil for deep detecting of metals. Testing of this unit using the 40" x 40" coil will be carried out on several proven placer and mineral claims in the Cariboo region of BC. Canada. Having the help of excavators will facilitate reaching the detected targets. I need to know details of type of wire for the coil and also schematic with configuration of the coil connection plug etc. I will surely post the results of the testing results of the ssp unit to all interested. I look forward to learning all I can about the ssp 2100.

No it's not the blanket coil, it's the 8 tube PVC coil, and I see that the wire inside is a shielded white wire with a diameter about 3/16 inches. I am assuming that this would be the same type as used in the larger 2m x 2m PVC covered coil for the ssp units but I don't know for sure. With nil knowledge of what wire assemblage is within this insulated shielding, I am assuming two wires, one sending, and one receiving, but obviously an exact duplicate of the original Detech product must be acquired.

No I certainly would never open any windings, but with my limited knowledge I am only guessing at what is inside the insulated cover. I appreciate the info on the DVD and would ask if you are aware of any info on the construction of this Detech large coil is found in this DVD. I have looked through the forum but never found any info on the large Detech coil materials etc.

can you do pics inside of housing on panel side so a connector with wires would be seen? can you share pics of PCB inside at sunlight highresolution?
people do not familiar with fresh bulgarian detectors. bulgarians are active in selling but not so sociable. nothing I do see on detech around.
TIA

Thanx for your interest,,,I tried to see if I could access the housing but was unable to without possible damage to the unit, so I will take it to a technician when I go to the big city to purchase a Whites TDI pro, because I also want to couple a 1m x 1m coil to the TDI for depth. When the tech opens the ssp housing I will get photos and put up a link to them on here for all to peruse. I'll get the Whites TDI within a month or two.
