          ... the ore finder is only an XY coil configuration ... dont knock it though ... I have found many nuggets with my model 1905.

          There is also a great deal of difference between posting on forums and publishing patents ....

            The patent in question should have not been granted.
            - pior art
            - lack of inventive ingenuity (so trivial)

                Infringing? If it involves dressing as sharp as the chap from 1904 holding that "ore detector device" then why not! Also, that horn earphone might be pretty battery-effective with a ceramic driver.
