  • coils for PIM-2

Hi everyone. I just joined the forum, looking for info on coils.I just received my PIM-2 ver. 07. Has anyone tried commercial coils on this detector? The 35 cm test coil shipped with it works fine. I would like to make it more versatile by having more than one coil, smaller mono, dd, eliptical, anything that will work. Does anyone know the frequency of this detector? Has anyone experimented with different coils for the PIM-2?

Is it a micro-controlled version of the Delta Pulse, I have seen a lot of youtube videos. Seems to have spawned a few variants, all seem to be done by Turkish modders.

It is a digital version of Delta Pulse. Have you guys tried different coils with Delta Pulse?

The coil that comes with kit is 35 cm 3 continuous wraps of cat-6 network cable wired in series. I had to take it apart to build coil enclosure. I read 3.2 ohms minus 1.2 ohms for my DMM test leads equals 2.0 ohms. Wire length approximately 10' 10.5 ".
I am trying to figure out if I can use cat-5/6 to make a smaller coil. would I be able to use the same length of 10' 10.5" and wrap 6 times instead of 3 wraps for smaller coil?
