    which is the best shielding to use...scotch 24 or graphite paint...to minimise loss of depth ????

      i bought a bottle of liquid graphite paint as used for screening on electric guitars...is this suitable ?????

        It might be OK. Right now there is discussion on how much resistance per inch of graphite shielding is best for a PI. I did one with about 1300 to 1500 ohms / running inch and others have gone much lower. Green has run some plots that seem to indicate that 600 ohms/ inch is not detrimental to performance. No field tests yet though. My personal decision is to build only fast spider wound coils in a specific geometry that self shields and does away with all the brain damage that the shielding topic seems to create.
