concentric coil shielding help!

Please tell me if if concentric coils (model Don Bowers) shield is applied to both enclosures or one?
So far we have worked only with DD coils

but the amplitude decreases dramatically both Tx and Rx and not detect any play.

the big problem is the matrix (fine dust pressed) as milling broke ... and I can not find in our country the model.
