Is it possible to wind new coils for Teknetics Greek series detectors ?

I have a Teknetics Delta 4000 and see that Detech make an Ultimate 13" coil for it. What I though was "I can wind my own RX & TX coils but what inductance should I be looking for" "Which are the TX & RX pins in the plug" "What wire is the best" then "Is all this on the WWW somewhere?" I will appreciate all and any hints, tips and/or directions, thank you for being there. K.

I tried my hand at it from some coil information Dave Johnson gave me. Had Don Bowers do the DD windings. It worked somewhat, overall a failure. Target and tone IDs are all over the place, when you think you got it right in one area everything else was way off. Ditched the experiment. Looks like I purged the file on my computer.

Thanks for the info, I know that perhaps it is a straw clutching exercise, but the world is a big place and forum has lots of answers. Grateful.
