  • litz 175/46 single insulation or double?

I am under the understanding that the litz 175/46 wire is a good choice for a PI coil. I have the choice of single insulation or double insulation. I am not concerned about fitting it into a cover, so that is of no consequence. Which would make a better choice? Thanks

Either will work fine. The double may help lower capacitance a tiny bit more.

I think I got the single 175/46 today. Perfect size, doubt double will be a problem to fit in a coil housing.

Yes it is just a thin layer of nylon over the wire. The double is a double layer so not really much difference...

I should get some more 175/46 as I mucked up my last coil by using too much resin so it got real heavy!
