      thanks
i see this site and i am going to buy /
      regards.
for 45 cm coil i want use 0.5mm copper wire and ohm near 3.8 ohm. it is good or i use 0.6mm wire??
      regards

You can go with 0.5mm too. Approx you need some wire length as on smaller diameter coil, so resistance remain in same range.

          thanks.
man.i will try tomorrow and set my result here.
litz wire better for this or copper wire?

In general litz wire is better, but in some cases, depend of timing set (if you search for cannon balls par example) it is not important.

              I can't wind a coil with 0.5mm. (That is a 24 AWG Wire.)
I don't have a Center Piece for my coil jig, with that Thickness.

              I can wind with 22 AWG, (.644mm)

Also the largest Coil I can wind with my present size Jig is 33mm

                Hello Monandes
Perform this flat coil to experiment.
air tests had good sensitivity, but not finished, should the shield.
If you want to experience, these are the data.
Cat 5 cable, two conductors twisted diameters of 0.5 mm.
                Outer diameter: 25 cm.
                Inner diameter : 16 cm
                Number of Turns: 32.
                Inductance :. 298 uH
                Coil resistance :. 1 ohm
The slots must be odd. In my coil is 13.
                regards

hello friend i use http://www.deepfriedneon.com/tesla_f_calcspiral.html and find best for dp
i use 35cm diameter coil and result with up link .
                  i have two choice:
                  1-with 0.45 wire and get http://www.deepfriedneon.com/tesla_f_calcspiral.html . it is give 3ohm
                  2- use 0.5 wire http://www.deepfriedneon.com/tesla_f_calcspiral.html . it is give 2.1ohm
so which i use, and better?/

The Inductance and Resistance using a 22 AWG wire is Determined by the Number of Turns.
                      Not just the Outside Diameter.

                      So what is Most Important?
                      Inductance or Resistance?
                      And What Value?

Also, If I were to make you a Coil, What COUNTRY are you in?

                      Take care...Gary

Ive have made two flat coils out of 30 guage by printing the patern and then covering the area where the windings will be with high quality double sided tape.
You can then start from the outside and wrap to the inside. Once you have a couple wraps stuck down its pretty easy using a plactic tool to press the wire down as you wind the coil while turning the paper. I dont think the tape will work for to much of a thicker wire but maybe spray adhesive might do.
Both my coils came out to low the inductance 145uH with 4.5 ohms resistance. The same amount of wire in a bundle style coil is 297uh. So this wire is not good if I add enough to get the right inductance my resistance will be too high. Same problem with this wire and basket coils. The solution may be a dual field coil for this wire and spiral coils.
That being said it is a way to wind a flat coil without a jig.
                            hope this helps good luck.

                              hi .
thanks gurus . i just work on DP2 and this coil.better coil have 400 too 500mkh and 2 to 4 ohm res.
so i should work on this value or near this. i buy plate and today go to make in circle . just set and adjust this part too hard.but i should work more.
if have more data i happy to put your data here.
                              regards
