The diameter should include the insulation.

Same goes for enamelled copper wire. Results are more accurate if diameter over the enamel coating is used, although there isn't a lot of difference.

That is all you do then calculate and the rest fills in automatically.

Nothing happens when I click on the x at the bottom. Calculate button is not showing up.

I can only assume that you have a different calculator or a corrupt program. go here and download the calc. http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...oil-Calculator

Sorry but on my version there is NO X on the bottom. I just put in the 3 values in the top boxes and click calculate and the lower 3 boxes fill up with info. If you are still having trouble, I am sorry I cannot help you further, does it work on another computer?

Which operating system are you using, and which browser?

I have tested the calculator software on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer, and it works fine. In fact, it should run on any platform that supports JavaScript. It's also been tested on Linux and Android, and with various browsers such as IE, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc., with no problems.

Have you tried a different browser, such as Google Chrome?

Is there some settings I need to change on my laptop or what am I missing.
