  • DetectorPro 2.4kHz coil specs.

Hello, does anyone have the specs on DetectorPro 2.4 kHz coils? Maybe the same as the Fisher 1280s?
    Thanks
    Don

I wondering as well on similar the detectorPro 12 uw have it a 12" nel tornado coil but strange ,because
on the nel coils does't have 2.4khz only 3khz so can be a special designed? or can be a minelab e-trac coil whic is multifreqvency useing?
    Do u have any idea?

If that figure for the TX coil is 9535 microhenries, then to make it resonate at 2.4 KHz, you would need 470 nF across it, a standard component value, and a practical one, too, polyester or polypropylene film types would be OK.
More precisely: 470 nF & 9535uH are resonant at 2377 Hz.
It's a shame we don't know the TX resistance. At resonance, TX coil impedance, XL is 142 Ohms. So a resistance of 10 Ohms would give a plausible Q of 14, and R = 7 Ohms produces Q = 20.

(the top line of the Russian text is just 'detector pro coil')

            I had2 coils DetectorPro ,concentric , 8and10 , theyhad a differentinductanceand resistanceof the windings.
            1reel :TX-9525-9540mH (15om) RX-10260-10280mH (30оm)
            2coil: TX-9555-9570 mH(19om) RX-10130-10150mH (40om)
The inductancewas measuredin differentlc-meter,sothe range of readings.
            TXstooda capacitor450nF (wimawritten0,47)
            I apologize for the error.

Yes, everyone is welcome, but the language we use in the Geotech forums is English.
The language with the most speakers in the world is Chinese. Spanish is second (but not even close) with a third of the number. Followed by English in 3rd and Hindi in 4th.
However, English is the language used by the technical community.
If we let everyone post in their own language, the forum would become unusable.

                  Back to the technical stuff:
15 Ohms and 19 Ohms for TX coils means the Q-factor is a bit lower than my estimates, about 8 or 9.
And a 470nF WIMA film cap for tuning.
And new RX coil figures (ten times the first post...) that are more plausible.

This is a bit off-topic, but did you know that Russian is #8 in the list, after Bengali?

... The word dom in modern Slavic languages means "home" and is a cognate of the Latin word ... domus or house.
