  • Suitable coil feedline for Surf PI?

Can anyone tell me what the ideal feedline is for Surf PI coils? Ive heard that RG-6 is good, but RG-58 not so. Others have said USB cable

Is there an ideal capacitance per meter value?

    Cheers

For the Surf-PI (which is designed for beach use) the capacitance-per-meter is not that important. RG-6 has a capacitance of approximately 68pF/m, whereas RG-58 is a tad higher at 82pF/m. This is really only of concern if you're trying to sample below 15us, which is about as low as you can go in the surf without falsing.

Yes the lowest possible you can find.

Cheers. I'll see what I can dig out. I might have some low capacitance coax at work intended for studio use
