This explains why I had matching problems trying to replicate the DFX coils because I was aways to the understanding that the DFX used untuned coils which these pictures clearly showing CX.RX components that they are infact tuned coils.
Can Carl move in on this and confirm if I am seeing correctly.

    Regards

yes, they are balanced, but not resonance tuned. there is still maybe a resonance on RX side, just cause there are capacitors, i have not info on a resonance value.

The coils for MXT/DFX/V3 are wideband, untuned. Originally, the coils were like Altra said, only a resistor and thermistor added. But when V3 came along, additional components were added to make them work at 22.5kHz. This is why people talk about "V-rated" coils; older MXT/DFX coils may or may not work right on a V3 for the high freq.

          Thanks Carl
Its just I thought for a minuit the boys were talking about DFX etc, Which through me off course for a while.
          Thanks again for the clarification

I may try 22.5khz with the DFX instead of 18khz , Could always mount the components in a adaptor lead plug and see what the results are.
I know it will knock the dicrimination out far as numbers, be interesting to see how the signa graph handles it. Its worth a shot what do you all think ?
