        I remember the guy stating he had the same coil on an auction site, so I searched and my thoughts were correct, he removed the tag and told me it was an OZ mono coil.

              As i remember the oval coil (Razorback, Miner John) is a mono coil not a DF.

                thank you much Geo. what the resistor does is not clear for me but maybe as over damping for inner coil.

                    According to the patent for dual field coils, the internal coil must have a resistance to prevent oscillations.
                    In this case, it appears to be 4700 ohms
