Wilson R&C ll coil question

I have a Wilson detector that has had several coil issues over the past little while. From cracked housing to possibly faulty connection cable at junction with coil. I also had a major issue with the electronics recently having to do with a corroded circuit board trace it turned out to be when I sent it to Keith Wills to fix.

Now for some reason the machine has stopped discriminating complelely. It is like it is on all metal mode no matter where I dial the disc level to. Could this have anything to do with the coil or would that all just be electronics?

Hope its just the potentiometer.

I have tested the potentiometer and it seems okay.
