According Garrett both coils are exchangeable and suit to AT Gold and as well to AT Pro.

So, what you emasure is not difference between AT Gold and AT PRO coils, but between smaller and bigger DD coils, which are same for both model.

So with Garrett, but some independent producer, make different coils for mentioned Garrett models.

Not so sure about interchangeability between the two. Guess all Frequency determination is in the Control box.

Garrett AT Gold..........................18 kHz

If we check the user manual of garrett at-pro as I have seen, the at-gold coil does not appear as an option. But if we look at the manual of at-gold, in this if it appears as an option the at-pro coil

Will it be that at-gold if you can mount all the coils and at-pro can not?

I tested both detectors and AT PRO/AT Gold coils are interchangeable.
