Good evening to all, I have a question concerning the realization of a coill for my IDX. I realized the TX and the RX ... no problems ... then regulation in DD Thus the functioning is correct ... 10c of euro in 20 cms ... I decide to integrate him into the mold to pour her into the epoxy. Before flowing, I realize around every reel, shieldind with an adhesive aluminum. The thing is, since the shielding... it works really very very badly and the detection is not correct anymore of the whole ... why? How to correct this problem ...? Thanks to all for your help ... I do not understand anymore ....

Good evening, well tomorrow I'll make pictures of my coils.
Yes, the aluminum adhesive is directly placed on the coils.
And no, this one does not close the loop, there is a space of 10mm between the beginning and the end of the screening ....
Put the wires in a wall outlet of 230v !!!! Oupsss I will put my house in the dark! The 40Amp circuit breaker will blush !!!
Thank you all for your help.

Check that the foil on both coils are insulated from each other.

Thank you to all ..
You need to leave a couple of millimeters open gap between the beginning and end of the shield. This gap is best to be situated on the opposite side of the coils against the wire exit of each coil.
If you use aluminum foil the inductance value will always change a bit, but this is not the problem.

Not sure about it being Better but it's handy and Cheap. I use copper foil tape for the coils them selves if I don't use Carbon in the shell. http://www.banggood.com/search/coppe...ding-tape.html
