  • Coil Pattern Drawing- Need your help

    Hello,

i think i am a little bit stupid and i dont know where i should start to draw. Its the TGSL EDU 27cm Coil Pattern from the PDF.

I thought it is just a half circle with radius 137cm , but it isnt because the coil nees to be round after nulling.
How can i draw the round connection from the two little edges to the middle?

I tried to print it the pattern bigger but its not the right scale.

    Thanks.

        Thanks guys!

I have already made it. I used a second center point for the radius 8mm over the middle and it worked. I hope its right.
I think the round ones from Walmart are not so good for the DD coil. And unfortunately there are no walmart in germany.

I used 90 Degree angle for the 29,29mm radius and connected the endpoints with the 137mm point in the middle.

They work fine for DD type. You just use one more peg then the half way point. I'm sure they sell them there some place. Good Deal you have it started.

Of course, this is the pattern from your pdf. I meant this.
I had problems drawing it because i didnt knew where the middle from the circle was.
I made it then with FreeCAD and saw that the middle point is 8mm away from the middle of the bottom line and i startet there.
Then i got my radius. I have now the 137mm height and the 254,57mm length from side to side and the two 90degree bows with r=29,29cm.

I just needed to be sure because i built a 9 inch coil by mistake. Worked good but then one coil broke and i needed to order new enameled wire
and now i want to make the big 10 inch coil and i want to see how the depht is.

The layout file from blobber is exactly what i am searching for but i printed it and its a bit different from my pattern.

I dont have 137mm in the middle , its 14mm or 14,2mm from side to side.

My own drawing was 137mm outside diamter from side to side, and 254,57mm from side to side.

But i think both will work. The layout file is good because i can see how the coil lays in the housing.

I made a form and it looks like the coil doesnt fit to a 250mm-270mm housing.

I have 16mm space between the coils in the middle when the coil at the inner diameter 250mm, so i can only make the space smaller.

How big is the space in the middle when nulled?

I made it with 137mm from side to side.

Damn i have already drawn the coil for 3D printing.
