The idea behind the spirally wound coils is that every turn in the loop would be equally close to the soil and the target and yet the loop's windings would not be spread on a large surface, but still in a round package. I ma not sure what the benefit of this approach will be, but it suppose to aid the fast time constant signals in PI.
The Detech company have many claims even quite a few patents registered, but from all I have seen their coils are simply driving all detectors they are fitted to in high sensitivity mode, which ends up impressing Mr.&Mrs. Average who are so driven by super sensitive detectors and big time air tests.
The answer we might find here: # 14 http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...321#post229321
"The main problem with comparing detectors is than 90% of the human race are lairs and as such they can not possibly believe that occasionally someone may be telling the truth.
This business unfortunately revolves around deception and manipulation more than any other, because there is very little (if anything) in terms of performance that is delivered and so much more that is claimed."
I asked this because i am having mostly very positive experiences with their products.
Had 12-15 coils so far, made by them.
I was pretty delighted with their coil for Minelab Explorer SE, performances were superior over stock coil with similar dimensions.
Last night i was at Skype with friend and got information about this coil and GPX5000.
Owner is also local guy. He is pretty impressed with improved performances again against stock coil with similar dimensions.
I am making those FelezJoo PI diys, made few of those. Once i tried Commander Mono coil and was satisfied pretty much with it.
And now i am pretty restless to try something similar with this kind of coil.
I would only need to know more details about it's morphology.
P.S.
Local guy promises me that coil for testing in next month or two. Yet; i will not be allowed to open it and see what's inside!

Now I understand that your money is running out.
Listen, ......you can still make a lot of money.
You buy for little money AM radios on Ebay.
No Russian or Turkish radio because you can only receive radio Moscow or Ankara (Which are all hacked).
You link them to those Detech coils. Trust me......you can sell them for a lot of money as the best LRLs ever made.
Truth is that i never had enough money... not enough good reason to stop my enthusiasm though.
...
So, this suppose to be "DD" coil, with planar windings?
Any other ideas?
Don't see how they could Patten a inductor. Or even two inductors laying side by side. LOL Mine Lab would patten the basic use of the Transister if they could get away with it.

This is pretty pathetic and pretty low insinuation, absolutely false of course.
I can't understand why administrators are allowing something like this?!
Since when this forum became one sided protective shelter for such attempts?
No, but Detech claims its all patented. It says so on their web site.
Back when the SEF coils came out, the box claimed "patented" but I could find no such patent anywhere. However, for the printed spiral coil there is a patent, or at least an application: WO2017015730.

Ivconic
How did you find that ? without the patent number ?
I did exhaustive googleing and nothing came up with the word Detech
any chance you can find the latest application by David Emery on his new PI front end ? thanks.
