what happen if ididnt sheild my coil or what the reason for sheilding coil

On a VLF

A coil without a shield is unusable.

As you swing the coil it will be constantly chattering so much so you will not be able to hear real targets.

Yes you need on but less critical

On my IDX build blowing over the coil is enough to make it beep where as my Baracuda build is usable without the shield.

I think that becuse 5v regleiter but when u use detector with 12v it will be more sensevety to grounr is this whrite?
