What is the chance of taking a White's V3i D2 and change the connector and adapt it for the TDI?
Will it work or wasting time?

      Thanks
Do you know of any coils that could be converted to a TDI coil?
With exception of the Minelab coils.

The TDI requires low inductance (~300uH or less) and reasonable speed. You're only going to find this in another PI coil. Putting a VLF coil on there will limit the sampling to 20us or more, if you can get it to work at all.

something like a surf pi coil, would be a safer bet, or buy a coil shell and build your own 300 uh is quite easy to wind.

I knew I could make one but thought picking up a used coil to convert was easier.
