  • 5 pins DIN connector to pcb

    Hello,
    I'm a beginer in Electrinocs, i 'm on the way to built a Sniffer detector . i need help for connecting Din 5 pins female panel socket to the PCB..
    Any help please.

        I would not call that plug and socket a DIN
        Dins number diferent
        thats the same plug as a 5 pin microphone plug like what we use for metal detectors
        it has 5 pins numbered 1-5
        what help do you need, just follow the instructions from whatever project you are making.
        You dont really need plugs and sockets they just make it easy to change coils, you can hard wire the coil.

          sniffer is what? there is sniffer XR-71 and there is sniffer VLF detector.

                Those are the plugs they use on Minelabs, so would make ML coils fit. But ML coils(280uH approx) are not compatible with the Sniffer(500uH approx). They are good plugs to use, but unless you intend to modify the board for DD coils, and make DD coils for it they would be overkill. I am reasonably sure a standard XR71 will not warrant a DD coil anyway. On mono-only PI's I use basic RCA plugs and cords

                  look my albums and look how i do shielding of the connector. the box is yet not covered by graphite inside on connector side.
