Or you could try bigger fuse or bridging the fuse, just to see what burns/blows up or gets hot. Then you'd know where short is.

hello everyone, I have a problem with my Sniffer xr71, I made a coil 1 x 1 meter / 0.65 mm / 10 turns .the device sounds in all places when I put the coil on the ground , and it didn't detect the gold only the iron ?

you have to keep the coil on 5-10 cm distancy from ground keeping that more less constant.

why you put a coil on ground? do you need to sleep?
