for first try you can use the bottom from a flower pot or round canister
cut out the lower part and Mount the L-ankle from PVC for stem connector
Investment for under 5€, you can fill the enclosure with contruction foam

You can also make it using a cheap coil cover. Many detector shops have a stash of odd coil covers if you ask them.
The top section can be made from either plywood or MDF, and the same for the stem bracket.

you can also use Frisbee's, I used to before I bit the bullet and bought proper shells.
