  • Search coil 10" Pulse Star II

Hello everyone, a friend has a pulse II star detector with a 45 cm coil.
He asked me if I could make him a 25 cm coil. He left me the detector and the 45 cm coil. When I measured the inductance I was surprised by its 600uH value.
Someone has the 25 cm coil. to inform me the value of its inductance ?. From already thank you very much

I did tests with different coils and inductances and I discovered the error reading in other forums that the damping resistance in pulse star are inside the coil and not inside pcb, so tomorrow I will do the tests again with the potentiometer circuit and resistance in parallel with the coils to see which one responds best.

Hello, everything is perfect. Install the damping resistor inside the coil. Perform empirical tests with different values because I do not want to access the circuit. I suppose that some of the contacts of the detector plug corresponds to the output of the first operational to be able to see the waveform with the oscilloscope, but I did not want to investigate, besides the plug is different in diameter and thickness of the normalized pins so adapt a new plug to be able to place my coil with the coil that the detector brings.
