I have a Platypus coil that detects a 9g gold ring at 5" while my 11" detects it at 13".
As the coil is waterproof I suspect it is all epoxy saturated and I can't get at anything - but anyone know?
Measurements are pins 3 or 4 to ground .7 ohms, pin 2 to ground 6.7 ohms. In the ballpark?
