  • TGSL coil Help

    Good morning

I just made the coils for TGSL according to the description

107 laps and 98 laps with thread 0.25mm
    107 laps 24.5 oh 11 mH
    98 laps 22.5 oh 5.2 mH

Any solution to bring to 6 and 6.5 mH?
    I have done something wrong?
    Is it normal?

I thank you in advance for your answers

You must have done something wrong.
See attached document created by Ivconic.

      Follow the steps described here
I do not know what could have gone wrong ????

wrong no good description how-is to tune balance with o-scope pics illustrated.
while much info how to do, that is practically does not have interest.
our problem we have not a specialist with good english who is able to share all details.
you must do sure balance. its be <1V on frontend output.

then you must to turn your o-scope in 50mV range
and do balance with tiny piece of cooper (soviet 1 kopeika coin size) or ring of tiny wire. wire 0.2-0.25mm, diameter 2-3cm.
you must find very small voltage, as minimal as possible. second stage we recall DOSVEDENIJE.
i am not able to traslate. english is not my native.

third. you must get right reaction on - looking o-scope
        - non-ferrous
        - ferrous
        - piece of ferrite (its like be a ground, soil)

          Thanks for your explanation

I'm waiting for the arrival of an oscilloscope that buys on ebay
my knowledge in electronics are minimal, neither is an oscilloscope used
(I have it raw) I'm acquiring some knowledge reading and reading in the forum
what for an electonico is simple .............. for me it becomes a Dantesque work, almost impossible to complete

The less I am going to try it !!!!

Make another new coil and now with the same thread and same mold

          108 turns 0.25mm 24.5 oh 5.2mH

I do not know what to think

          regards

            look this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6adQvxOugcU
you can see all process but the tuning of coil is absent. secret? yes. it is deep secret of company.

Pull a few winding off the one and tighten up the other with some twine.

progress will you will close foil of both windings between itself and will ask SOS.
i have see that many times.
THE progress is if you get 20mV p-p on output of preamp.

True, when tightening the strings with string rises to 11mH
I'm going to play a bit with the tension of the line to see if I get 6.5 mH

Tightening string can't give such a big jump of inductance. Some other reason give bad measurement.
Also note if you slightly distort the shape of the "D", the inductance varies.
If you get 11mH with 107 turns of .25mm enameled copper wire in D shape, then we are living in alternative universe.

                        Hi

While I receive the oscilloscope I will assemble everything and I will do tests
I'll correct as you see ....
I will try to ride on the weekend ................
                        I will tell you

                          Hello partners
I have mounted my tgsl provisionally
when I connect to 12v I get a constant beep
when moving the potentiometers it does not react
moving the coils closer or farther changes the sound but remains constant
                          Any suggestions?
                          Thank you

When making a coil for the TGSL Do both RX and TX coil get a faraday shield ?

                              Hello, thanks for answering

No, only the threads wrapped in tape
I discovered that 2907 were badly placed on the pcb
I put them in their correct position and now they do not do anything, I do not know what will be damaged
When I have time I will review and investigate if I make a discovery
