Excelerator EQ2 Pro "Multiple Harmonic Wideband Double "D" Searchcoil

Can I take a Excelerator EQ2 Pro "Multiple Harmonic Wideband Double "D" Searchcoil made for a Whites DFX and change the connector to work on a Minelab Explorer?If anyone has done this can you tell me what color wire goes to which pins on a Explorer connector?

Short answer is no. The DFX coil has a high inductance receive coil and the Explorer has a very low inductance winding. So they are not compatible.
