  • VLF coil readings question

In relations to a VLF, DD coil
    Pin 1-2 is 39.2 ohms
    Pin 4-5 is 3.8 ohms
Is the transmit signal always sent by the lowest or highestohm reading pens?
I?m thinking the highest ohm reading pins are the transmitcoil and the lowest is the receiving coil?

TX is almost always the lowest R and lowest L.

Thank you sir. Man was I thinking totally backwards.
I was figuring the lowest ohm coil was to receive the return signal better.

I can QUOTE specific examples where this is not always the case. I will defer to to you temperariy.
When they made the first transatlantic cable the ran 2000V and burned the copper. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that electromagnetic radiation has little to do with resistance but more to do with transconductance.

In order to determine the specifics of any metal detector search coil, remember, there are many different vagaries of achieving the same outcome. There's always three determinations to consider.
          There is always inductance.
          Secondly, there is capacitative charge.
Thirdly, there is resistance to the flow of electrons
