  • Coil DD IDX pro.

Hello everyone, I would have a question to expose, I made a 27 cm DD coil, and once I wrapped the coils of the receiving coil I realized that it had a greater inductance than the one prescribed, instead of 35.6 mh ho 38.5. And once I tuned the exact 4.643 kh frequency I noticed a greater air distance of about 2 inches. My question is this by increasing the inductance of the receiving coil can I have more revelation power, was it another thing? Thank you for your feedback.
P.S. With this coil I passed another 32 cm self-made coil. of circumference that could feel a silver dollar at about 40 cm, instead with this one can hear it at around 47 cm.

Hello, I address the Gurus or who can give me an explanation of my question I wrote above. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Well in general, think of the coils as a transformer. The TX is the primary and RX is the secondary. By have more turns on the secondary you in affect have 'stepped-up' the ratio which gives a higher output Voltage.
The down side is the greater number of turns on the RX coil also outputs higher noise Voltage from any interference.

Bottom line, if it works then it works.

greater distance in the air doesn't translate to great depth in the field.

you can adjust the resonant frequencies so the Tx and Rx are closer together this can be done by adjusting the capacitors or coil induction. This can push the air test to around 50 cm on a large coin. however it will not preform very well in the real ground. IDX maxes out around 35" in mild ground and still run stable.
