  • SEF Coil for Teknetics T2

    Hi, I am new to this forum so i apologise if this info is in this forum somewhere, i did do a search but have not found it yet.

    My Question;

    I have a Teknetics T2 with a SEF 12 x 10 coil.
    I took it out the other day and all i was getting was an "Overload" signal.
    The coil itself is in good shape, no cracks or anything like that.

    On removing the heat shield from the socket (that goes into the Detector itself) the wiring looked a mess and i believe there is a wire off.

    Does anyone know the wiring sequence for the plug for this combination of coil/detector please.

    Thanks in advance

    Terry

    If you have a multimeter that can measure resistance, the following data should enable you fix your fault:

    Pin 1 -> Pin 2 : 37 Ohms ( receive coil )
    Pin 3 -> Pin 4 : 2.2 Ohms ( transmit coil ends )
    Pin 3 -> Pin 5 : 1.1 Ohms
    Pin 5 -> Pin 4 : 1.1 Ohms ( pin 5 is the centre-tap on the TX )

        No, the T2 coil is unique to the T2 / T2-SE.
