    started to think about a 9" Lobo DD coil

    i found these Coil winding templates
    https://sites.google.com/site/dbcoil...ding-templates

    and printed it out, my printer did not print it in the correct size so i increase the size of the image
    until it was right for me.

    then i traced around the template and figured out that it had a radius of 188 mm

    the length of the line that you teased around the templet is calculated like this

    the length of the teased line 590mm

    590 divide d on pi(3.14) is 187.89mm that is the radius
    now i divide 187.89 on 2 to get the diameter 93.9 or 94mm

    i have Remington Industries PN155 24 AWG Magnet Enameled Copper Wire
    and if i remember correct it have the thickness of 0.549mm

    now i'm ready to use the coil calculator on this page.
    To figure out how many numbers of turns i nede for the TX and RX Coil

    Lobo wants :
    Lobo coil 9" 1.35 mH TX coil
    Lobo coil 9" 10 mH RX coil

    i upload 2 pictures of my coil calculations

    now i have to make the coil winding Jig.

    if you pros see that im not thinking right pleas let me now so i can correct it

    Nel advertisement could be alright.

    But this do no good to you, because you have "older" series Lobo pcb. The "early" Lobo.
    So you have to search for coil with specs:

    Tx = 1.35mH - 12 ohms
    Rx = 9-10mH - 55 ohms

    Im winding the RX coil and use AWG24

    i have 155 turns , and im measuring it and get 8.6 ohm and 9.09mH

    Im getting close to the mH but Ohm is way off , whats wrong is it the AWG ????

      strange way to take templates from internet. at first you have to buy the enclosure for coil from geotech camraden (plus fitting, plus cable).
      then, sure under this size to do templates. you set the horse after the cart.

        you are right , thats what i tough to , but since i started this way i have to make EPOXY coil and make the shape my self .

        But what about the resistance ?? is it important to hit both the induction and resistance ??
        or is it ok whit just hitting the correct induction

          first mistake. you will get heavy coil. yes, there are garrett coils filled epoxy but its are small size.
          while i do not know your physical condition and may be you are strong men with strong hands.
          then certainly epoxy filling is ok.
