    Confusion between imperial and metric happens to even the largest companies:

    In 1999 NASA lost its $125-million Mars Climate Orbiter because spacecraft engineers failed to convert from English to metric measurements when exchanging vital data before the craft was launched.

    A navigation team at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory used the metric system of millimeters and meters in its calculations, while Lockheed Martin Astronautics in Denver, which designed and built the spacecraft, provided crucial acceleration data in the English system of inches, feet and pounds.

    As a result, JPL engineers mistook acceleration readings measured in English units of pound-seconds for a metric measure of force called newton-seconds.

        Don't forget the out of focus Hubble Space Telescope. The mirrors were ground incorrectly as I recall because of a units mix up.

        Fact Check: Not a units problem. Optical defect called spherical aberration based on an un-calibrated machine and poor or no testing.

          So would this amount of difference between these 2 magnet wires for a coil make a difference, or just go with larger since it would reduce ohms.

          .01===0.254mm
          .0098====0.203

          these are close enough,
