  • Does anyone recognise this coil?

I have a PI coil in my collection and have forgotten where it came from. Overall diameter is 12", inductance 323uH, resistance with cable is 3 ohms. The cable is Belden 1808 twin coax, although only one coax is used. Connector is as used on Minelab and TDi. The coil shells are professionally sealed and coil weight is low, indicating that epoxy potting resin is not the filler. I guess that shielding is graphite as RF leakage is quiet high.

    Anyone recognise it?

It was made at White's and it looks like something I may have designed. At least the plastic design looks familiar, I think I also have one somewhere. Otherwise, I don't recall.

Thanks Carl. Yes, that makes sense. Certainly the coil part of the swivel exactly fits a Whites shaft.
