  • Advise on the cable type between the search coil and the head unit of a VLF detector?

I am getting good a making my own search coils for my VLF based detectors. And advise on what type of wire to connect between the search coil and the head unit? Would something like this work? Twin 1 Conductor Audio Cable.

Are you going to make separate tx & rx cable? How if it gone through water?
If you can get Belden 8723 should be fine, or 3084A (my opinion for 2nd one , it stiff and expensive, has thin wall need heat shrink tube)

some people get away with a cheap USB cable. I had a failure using one. Every time you knocked it there was a beep

since then I have been using van damme microphone cable. Its designed to be tough and flexible. Not failed on me yet. Guess quite a few cables will work equally well

yes koala, mic cable is great, you can get video cable too that is similar but has 4 conductors and shield this is good for ib/vlf coils.
