IB Coil for PI

Hello,
Can anyone recommend to purchase an IB coil suitable for a PI detector? Preferably with known parameters (L, R) in the range 9" - 14". Thanks!

if you meant you want to use both windings, you have to know IB coil is balanced/nulled, while PI coil is unbalanced.

Yes, I'd like to use both windings. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a PI detector can work both with balanced/nulled and unbalanced coils. I'm looking to buy a balanced one for some experiments.

Yes, you can use an IB coil on a PI. There are a lot of aftermarket DD coils available for Minelab, they are probably IB. On the VLF side, it is difficult to find low-inductance coils that will work well on a PI. High-frequency gold detectors (Goldbug-2, GMT, etc) are your best bet.

Thanks Carl-NC! That was exactly my question about, finding an IB coil with a low inductance for the Tx. I'll check those detectors.

Buy a minelab or detech DD they are made for what you want.
