  • Help on a concentric plate!!!

    Hello friends of Geotech.

This is the first time I post in the forums and since my English skills are zero, I use the google translator!!!

Some time ago I saw a post on the forum about a concentric plate, I think it was TGSL. I would like information on how to build it.

To mount it on a GOLDEN SABER.

    Thank you

Is this what you're looking for?

Are you looking for general information on how to build a concentric search coil? If so, try this:

      https://www.geotech1.com/cgi-bin/pag...anar/index.dat

Or, are you looking for information specific to TGSL coil parameters? If so, do a forum search on "TGSL coil", the info should be somewhere, I'm just not sure where.

Edit: George's link should have it.

I'm actually looking for more specific information. I need information to build a concentric coil for Golden Saber 2

Check Don's web site for specifics on building coils for the TGSL. Should be very close or the same for the Golden Sabre.

Thank you very much, my knowledge told me that they could be similar.

I downloaded the pdf. I have a doubt regarding what I read in the document. where it says the following: " Move the loop around to get a good null" . What is he referring to?. I need a osciloscope to make this?. Is there another way to do it without an oscilloscope?

              Thanks

A two channels o-scope will definitely make it easier. However, some ppl use a multimeter to measure the amplifier's voltage. For example (pin 3 of U1 in IDX Pro should read in between 200 to 400 mV) in AC I think. Not sure what the voltage value should be in the metal detector you are building.
