built this gizmo http://www.web-ee.com/Schematics/In...nce%20Meter.htm . I did but I can't seem to get it to function properly. I put my freq counter on it and the and the "high" (100uh > 5mh) range is 6.6 > 9.7 khz and the "low" (3uh > 500uh) is 67.6 > 99.7 khz when adjusting the trimpots from one end to the other.
It calibrates perfectly but when I put the coils (RF chokes) on I can't get the required voltages. The "high" coil is 5.6 mh and gives me 352 > 452 mv, the "low" is 396 uh and gives me 247 > 347 mv.
I'm afraid my basic electronics is in a bad state of repair (I think I'm going to have to go up in the attic and find my books), I can't remember what would be the best way to reduce the frequency as I'm thinking it's running a little to high.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
